Manor City Hall and other administrative City offices will be closed on Monday, January 16th in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Public Safety will operate as normal. Burglary of Vehicles

Manor, Texas - January 03, 2012 - The Manor Police Department is experiencing a higher than normal amount of calls regarding burglary of vehicles in the Bell Farms / Carriage Hills subdivisions. The majority of the vehicles that were entered had been left unlocked with valuables in plain view. Please be sure to lock your doors and keep everything out of sight when leaving your vehicle. Also, notify the police when you see someone that you do not recognize or that stands out to you as suspicious. The Manor police non-emergency dispatch number is (512)947-0845 option #3, in any case of emergency call 911.

Christmas Tree Recycling

Are you ready to discard that dry Christmas tree? The City of Manor and Allied Waste are working together to promote thinking green as we invite you to bring your Christmas tree to 429 W. Parsons and drop it in the dumpster. The trees will be mulched and used as landscape mulch in flower beds. Please remove all decorations and plastic bags. This service will be available from now until the 16th of January between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. For more information, you may call City Hall at (512) 272-5555 or Allied Waste at (512) 247-5647.    

Christmas Holiday

In observance of the Christmas Holiday, City Hall will be closing at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 22nd and re-open at 8 a.m., Tuesday, December 27th. If your bill has a due date or a cut-off date of December 23, 2011, you will have until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27th to make your payment.

Public Hearing on Proposed Budget

PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED 2011-2012 BUDGET

The City of Manor will hold a public hearing on the proposed 2011-2012 fiscal year budget at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 in the Manor City Council Chamber, 201 E. Parsons, Manor, Texas.  The purpose of this meeting is to allow citizens an opportunity to comment of the proposed budget.

This budget will raise mor total property taxes than last year's budget by $27,742.45 (1.57%) and, of that amount $47,312.96 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.

Fall Bulk Trash Pickup Set for October 8, 2011

The fall bulk trash pickup will be held on Saturday October 8, 2011 beginning at 7:00 am.  All items must be at the curb by that time.   The following items will be accepted: bundles of branches, bags of leaves, extra bags of trash, loose yardage, chairs, recliners, large furniture, couches (except sofa beds), mattresses, and water heaters.Appliances will be picked up however, refrigerators must have door(s) removed and refrigerators and air conditioning units must be technician certified to be freon free and the certification attached to the unit. The following items will not be picked up:  bags of cement, center blocks, railroad ties, bricks, steel, door frames, tile, mirrors, batteries, chemicals, televisions, computer monitors, metal, tires, dead animals, sheet rock, glass, toilets, bath tubs, sofa beds, wet paint, rocks,  or dirt.  No bulk commercial trash will be picked up.

 Notice of Public Hearings on Tax Increase The City of Manor, Texas will hold two public hearings on a proposal to increase total tax revenues from properties on the tax roll in the preceding tax year by 4.02%. Your individual taxes may increase at a greater or lesser rate, or even decrease, depending on the change in the taxable value of your property in relation to the change in taxable value of all other property and the tax rate that is adopted.The first public hearing will be held on August 31, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at the Manor City Council Chamber, 201 E. Parsons. The second public hearing will be held on September 7, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at the Manor City Council Chamber, 201 E.
